WHAT IS HYPERHIDROSIS?

Hyperhidrosis, commonly referred to as excessive sweating, is a disorder in which the body’s natural cooling mechanisms fail to function normally causing you to sweat excessively. It can affect the face, armpits, hands, feet as well as the groin area, and come about in response to stress or exercise. Many who suffer from hyperhidrosis are worried about developing a foul odor which can lead to embarrassment and negatively impact their daily activities and social interactions.

DRY UP WITH HYPERHIDROSIS TREATMENTS

There are several treatment options available to help relieve patients of excessive sweating, including:

TOPICAL DEODORANTS

Topical over-the-counter and prescription deodorants may be used to reduce hyperhidrosis side effects. These products include ingredients that may potentially block sweat production by inhibiting the activation of sweat glands. Topical treatments may be sufficient for sufferers who don’t necessarily have severe hyperhidrosis.

BOTOX INJECTIONS

Botox works wonders for reversing signs of aging and for treating migraines; however, it has also been proven effective at treating excessive sweating. It works by blocking the nerves that activate sweat glands. Treatments are quick and painless, but the downside of using Botox for hyperhidrosis is that it can be quite costly, and results only last for up to four to six months.

INFINI MICRONEEDLING AND LASER TREATMENTS FOR SWEATING

The newest innovative techniques to treat hyperhidrosis involve using radio frequency energy or laser therapy to destroy sweat glands resulting in a reduction of sweating of up to 70 to 80 percent. Radio frequency energy that is emitted during treatment with Infini microneedling along with laser energy produced from various laser treatments for sweating, are able to precisely target, heat and destroy the sweat glands found in the tissue layer under the skin of the underarms. These treatments can accomplish this without damaging the surrounding tissue.

I was met with a caring, friendly staff. I am 59 and showing signs of aging. First, I had filler and BOTOX done by with great results. Next, a laser treatment using radio waves. Very little recovery time. I love the results already.
