Kybella Treatment

Kybella is an exciting new Medi Spa treatment that is different from CoolSculpting and Liposuction. Kybella is an injectable treatment that is made up of a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, a compound naturally found in the body. When injected into the chin, it dissolves the fat below the jawline getting rid of the appearance of a “double chin”. In as little as two treatments, you will have a more sculpted and slimming contour to your face.

Through a quick series of tiny injections, Kybella helps to break down and destroy the targeted fat cells. This allows them to be safely eliminated through the body’s natural processes. Once destroyed, the fat cells are unable to return. It is not immediate, but over the next several months a tight, smooth, youthful-looking jawline will emerge.

This is not a “one and done” treatment. Most people require 2-3 treatments spaced between 6 to 8 weeks apart. The number of treatments needed is entirely dependent on the amount of fat needing to be removed and your aesthetic goals. Results will become visible after 2 to 3 months, and improvement will continue for up to six months.

After Kybella, the fat under the chin will be significantly reduced, and the result will be a younger looking, sleeker and firmer neck area. Specifically, it will help create a more defined jaw and remove excess fat in the neck area.

Most patients describe the treatment as being virtually painless. However, before the series of Kybella injections, a topical numbing cream can be applied to reduce any discomfort. Kybella treatments are quick, easy in-office treatments that produce effective facial contouring results.

You may experience a few temporary side effects, such as bruising and tenderness in the injection area. These should subside within a few days post-treatment. It is also possible to have some numbness and residual swelling for a few weeks after the treatment.
