The team at Neaman Plastic Surgery understands how surgical and non-surgical treatments are life-changing to many patients. In fact, a brow lift can give you a more refreshed and relaxed appearance. It removes those horizontal lines from across the forehead as well as the deep-set wrinkles that tends to appear between the eyes at the bridge of the nose due to constant muscle contraction.
The Brow Lift Procedure
There are different methods for performing a brow lift, depending on your unique condition and desired outcome. The most common approaches to brow lifts include endoscopic and the more traditional coronal, or open method.
Brow lift treatments are typically performed under general anesthesia and can take up to two hours to complete. The exact incision pattern depends on the extent of change desired and where on the forehead the most work is being performed. Our surgeons are typically able to place incisions in natural creases and the hairline to prevent them from being noticeable. During an endoscopic brow lift, excess forehead tissue and fat are removed using a thin tube with a camera.
It is less invasive than a traditional open brow lift which requires a larger incision usually spanning from one ear to the other.
Once the loose skin and fat are removed, the remaining tissue and muscle are re-contoured to create a smooth, relaxed forehead appearance. The eyebrows are repositioned to a more aesthetically pleasing position, and the incisions are sutured shut.
Our surgeons will discuss your brow lift options with you in detail during your consultation. Most patients can achieve their desired outcome with the less-invasive endoscopic method.
