NEAMAN PLASTIC SURGERY | SALEM, CORVALLIS, EUGENE, + PORTLAND, OREGON
In recent years, we have learned different ways our faces can age. Not only does the skin begin to sag, but also in most cases we begin to lose volume. The result of both of these is usually a very tired, deflated look. Salem plastic surgeon Dr. Keith C. Neaman and the team at Neaman Plastic Surgery have been able to carefully harvest fat cells from other parts of the body and inject them artistically and delicately back into the face to restore the youthful and full appearance of the look that you once had.
How Fat Grafting Works
With the combination of liposuction and fat grafting, Dr. Neaman is able to not only contour and shape parts of your body that are storing unwanted fat, but can also then use the unwanted fat to fill out the appearance of localized areas such as, cheekbones, deep facial wrinkles and lines or even the hollow areas of sunken eyes. Once the fat has been removed with liposuction from areas such as hips or thighs, it is then processed and only the appropriate fat is then injected into the body.
It is important to note that only very tiny amounts of fat are injected back into the hollow areas of the face, making sure to insert the fat in all layers of the face.
Fat Grafting Results + Recovery
Facial fat grafting is becoming more and more popular as the procedure itself is minimally invasive and does not require any surgical incisions or leave any type of scarring. Adding fat, or volume back into the face can help improve the skin texture and help it to appear more youthful and radiant
Recovery time is relatively quick at about two weeks. Swelling may occur and can vary with individuals. Dr. Neaman will discuss the options and individualized surgical plan that suits your desired outcome during your consultation.
