I had liposuction done a year ago and ever since I feel I’ve been constantly gaining weight. I have good eating habits so I don’t understand why this is happening. What can I do about it?
Liposuction reduces fat in problem areas. Immediately after surgery, you may notice weight gain due to swelling in the treated areas. Any weight that has been gained after about 2-3 months is due to fat. Even with good eating habits, if you eat more calories than you burn, you will consistently gain weight. It is important to monitor calories in vs. calories out. Enjoy weightlifting exercises to boost metabolism and cardiovascular exercises to burn fat.
