Exercising after BOTOX™ is possible to do as long as you do not overly exert yourself. Strenuous exercise increases the cardiac output and in turn, increases blood flow. This can possibly increase the blood flow to the injected areas and ultimately diminish the response to BOTOX™. This, in turn, can result in a migration of the BOTOX™ and can cause secondary complications.

There are no scientific studies available currently to address this concern. However, we caution patients to hold off on strenuous activity for at least 24 hours after a Botox treatment. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your surgeons or nurse practitioner.
