What Are The Top Recommendations To Turn Back The Clock On Aging?

06 Feb 2020 What Are The Top Recommendations To Turn Back The Clock On Aging?

Just about everyone wants to have healthy and youthful looking skin. There are different factors that contribute to how a person will age and it’s helpful to know about measures that can help you look your best. Sometimes plastic surgery or a procedure performed by a plastic surgeon is a good option. Check out the list below to learn more about the top recommended treatments for anti-aging.

Liposuction

Liposuction is a procedure that eliminates fat from your body. It can help you get rid of stubborn fat that doesn’t seem to go away even when you diet and exercise. Liposuction can be performed on your thighs, hips, buttocks, arms, belly or face. It’s a procedure that can take place at the same time as other surgeries.

Brow Lift

When you’re engaging with other people, your forehead is a focal point. Part of the natural aging process involves developing wrinkles, sagging skin above the eyes and creases. A brow lift is great for both men and women for smoothing forehead wrinkles, removing excess skin, improving crow’s feet, and minimizing the sagging of upper eyelids.

Neck Lift

Skin on the neck is delicate. It’s the reason why it’s vulnerable to aging. There’s also a natural loss of elasticity that comes with aging, especially in the neck area. In fact, it’s common to notice sagging skin on your neck long before you notice it anywhere else on your body. The neck is also subject to damage caused by the environment, which is why keeping it protected and moisturized is beneficial. A neck lift is a procedure that can make a drastic difference in how you look.

Chemical Peel

The purpose of a chemical peel is to remove the outer layer of skin to reveal a more youthful complexion. While there are many over-the-counter products on the market, it’s best to have a professional procedure if you want to eliminate fine lines or any other issue that prevents you from having youthful-looking skin.

Laser Treatment

There is a technique that involves the use of lasers to remove the top layer of skin and stimulate the growth of collagen. This is a procedure that must be administered by experts. It will also improve the appearance of scars and wrinkles, while boosting the overall quality of your skin.

These are just some of the ways to maintain a youthful appearance. To learn more about the surgical procedures listed, schedule a consultation with a plastic surgeon to get specific details about the options available based on your needs. In addition to the procedures discussed, there’s no doubt that healthy eating habits can improve your physical appearance.

There are some foods that are great at helping you maintain a youthful appearance. This includes fruits and vegetables. Fatty fish and other foods with omega-3 fatty acids are also beneficial. Some experts believe eliminating refined carbohydrates and sugar can help you look more youthful.

Refresh Your Skin This Spring With These MediSpa Treatments

04 Mar 2019 Refresh Your Skin This Spring With These MediSpa Treatments

Spring is here, making it the perfect time to refresh and renew your skin after a long, harsh winter. The winter months can be brutal to your skin, leaving it dry, dull and lifeless. However, medispa treatments, such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and injectables, all available at Neaman MediSpa, can rejuvenate your face and give your skin a fresh new look.

Spring Clean Your Complexion With Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are an excellent way to strip away the damaged outer layers of skin to reveal a healthy glowing complexion with improved texture, tone, and pigmentation. Regardless of how diligent you were in applying moisturizer this past winter, your skin probably still suffered. The cooler dryer air doesn’t exactly do your skin any favors, often causing dryness, blotchiness, and even breakouts. Chemical peels can be customized to meet your specific needs, and they range in strength from light to deep. The chemical solution that is applied to your skin during treatment, penetrates and clean outs pores to encourage new cell turnover. A springtime chemical peel will get your skin ready for the upcoming summer months, so you can worry about having fun and not skin maintenance.

“Sand” Away Dead Winter Skin With Microdermabrasion

If you’re looking for a non-invasive resurfacing treatment that doesn’t use chemicals, microdermabrasion is it. Microdermabrasion exfoliates the top surface layer and then suctions out debris and impurities from your pores. During winter, dead skin can cause a backup of impurities leaving your skin looking anything but vibrant. By cleaning out your pores, your skin can more easily absorb moisturizer and serums helping to re-nourish and stimulate collagen growth.

Smooth Out Skin With Injectable Fillers

Winter can’t be explicitly blamed for causing signs of aging, but it is responsible for making those hollows and folds a little more noticeable. If you’re in need of volume to help perk up your appearance, injectables available at Neaman MediSpa can help. Hyaluronic acid-based fillers, such as Juvederm and Restylane, will help to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles by hydrating your skin and restoring fullness to your face giving you a smoother, younger-looking complexion just in time for the spring and summer months.

Spring Clean Your Skin At Neaman MediSpa

Freshen up your skincare routine by adding a rejuvenating medispa treatment to help put life back into your skin. It’s time to shed the winter layers and let your skin glow this spring. Contact Neaman MediSpa, voted #1 medispa of Mid-Valley, at 844-338-5445 to schedule your personal skincare consultation.

Cosmetic Treatments and Men: A Growing Trend

21 Aug 2018 Cosmetic Treatments and Men: A Growing Trend

Until recently, women made up the majority of patients seeking out surgical and skin care enhancement; however, men are starting to take interest and look into enhancing their own appearance with surgical and medispa treatments. At Neaman Plastic Surgery and MediSpa, we offer a variety of surgical and aesthetic skin care treatments for men, so they, too, can benefit from all that the procedures and treatments have to offer.

Men Deserve to Look Younger Too

Women no longer look their age, so why do men have to? At Neaman MediSpa, men can take advantage of the same effective treatments as women, including Botox and dermal fillers, to fill in lines and wrinkles and restore volume loss.

Even chemical peels and microdermabrasion can be utilized by men to remove the damage to their skin due to their heavy labor and long days working out in the sun. Peels and microdermabrasion strip away the damaged layers of skin, literally taking years off their face to reveal a healthy and more youthful appearance.

Tattoo and Hair Removal for Men

Those reminders of his past can now be a thing of the past with laser tattoo removal. And hair may have been a sign of masculinity back in the day, but excess hair today has turned into a nuisance with men seeking out laser hair removal to obtain those smooth, hairless contours.

Plastic Surgery for a Rugged, Masculine Body

Achieving that desirable, proportionate body can be difficult for men as well. They can fall victim to the loose, excess skin and fatty deposits just as easily as women. Neaman Plastic Surgery offers plastic surgery procedures, such as a tummy tuck, liposuction, and body lift, that are performed and designed specifically to achieve the masculine contours that are found on a man. Men and women have different lines and curves and Salem plastic surgeon Dr. Keith Neaman is skilled in male plastic surgery and obtaining the rugged contours men are seeking and long to have.

Let Dr. Keith Neaman Help You Achieve Your Skin and Body Goals With Services For Men

Skin care and plastic surgery procedures are no longer just for women. Men deserve to look and feel good too. Repair Summer Skin Damage with Exfoliation

17 Jul 2018 Repair Summer Skin Damage with Exfoliation

Summer is the time of year everyone looks forward to – pool parties, backyard barbecues, and endless outdoor fun. We all love the hot beaming sun, but sadly, it can wreak havoc on our skin. Have you had a little too much fun out in the sun and now your skin is paying for it with age spots, fine lines, and wrinkles or just a dull-looking complexion? If so, don’t fret. Neaman MediSpa, voted #1 MediSpa of Mid-Valley, can help reverse sun damage and rejuvenate your skin for a more youthful, glowing complexion.

Step 1 – Skin Analysis

It’s hard to tell the exact condition of your skin by simply looking at it. Fortunately, with the innovative technology of Visia Skin Analysis, the process is quick and easy. Visia Skin Analysis assesses your skin by taking high-resolution images of it to establish a baseline. From there, we recommend treatments that are best suited for your skin’s condition. We are able to run the analysis after your skin care treatments to show your improvement and suggest further treatment if necessary.

Step 2 – Exfoliate for a Healthy Glow

Many of the skin issues you’re faced with are found on the surface layer called the epidermis, which is your protection from the world. It’s this layer that takes the brunt of damage from the sun’s rays. We offer a variety of non-invasive skin care treatments to gently remove the top layer of dead skin cells to restore vibrant, healthy skin and promote new cell turnover. Microdermabrasion uses a handpiece that essentially sands and suctions dead skin cells to reveal clean and smooth skin while dermaplaning uses a scalpel to scrape off the top layer of skin, similar to shaving. Micro peels are another great option to remove the damaged outer layer and correct minor skin flaws.

Step 3 – Establish a Good Skincare Routine for Added Healing and Protection

It’s important to take care of your skin following treatment to maintain that smooth, even colored and hydrated appearance. This is accomplished by establishing a good skincare routine. We offer ZO Skin Health products that work at a cellular level to target skin abnormalities and dermal renewal. ZO skincare helps to improve skin tolerance and increase skin resistance to negative elements such as sun exposure.

Rejuvenate Your Skin at Neaman MediSpa

Don’t sweat over summer skin damage. Neaman MediSpa can help repair your skin and restore that beautiful even complexion. With several non-invasive skin care treatments and a top-of-the-line product line to choose from, your skin will never look better. Contact Neaman MediSpa at (844) 338-5445 to schedule your consultation and to get on the path to healthy new skin.

MediSpa Treatments To Stop Aging In Its Tracks

28 Jun 2018 MediSpa Treatments To Stop Aging In Its Tracks
Posted at 05:53h in Botox, Dermal Fillers, Micro Peels 0 Likes

Aging can show up in many different ways on our skin: wrinkles, sun spots, hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone, just to name a few. It can be disheartening looking in the mirror wondering what happened to your once beautiful complexion, but it can be even more discouraging not knowing what to do about it. The team at Neaman MediSpa, voted #1 MediSpa of The Mid-Valley in Salem, is pleased to offer a variety of non-surgical skin care treatments to help rejuvenate your appearance and stop aging and wrinkles in their tracks.

We Have a Solution – Visia Skin Analysis

With so many anti-aging products on the market, it can be overwhelming trying to decide which product to try. You may not even know what your skin needs. At Neaman MediSpa, we understand that everyone’s skin is different, that’s why we use the Visia Skin Analysis to assess your skin. This innovative technology helps us recommend treatments that are best suited for you by taking high-resolution images of your skin and assessing the damage that is affecting your complexion health and appearance.

What Is The Root of Aging Skin?

One of the main reasons skin can develop wrinkles, sunken areas and fine lines are because of a decrease in collagen and elastin. This happens naturally, so the only way to stop it, is to treat it with effective solutions. Dermal fillers and Botox are successful at smoothing out lines and wrinkles to give you a younger looking appearance. You can even boost your collagen production with the help of Sculptra. It only takes minutes and it’s painless.

The Sun – A Love-Hate Relationship

Who doesn’t love the sun? There’s nothing better than soaking up the rays and feeling the sun’s heat penetrate your skin. However, there is nothing good about that in regards to your skin. UV rays prematurely age your skin, causing skin discoloration, dryness and, even worse, skin cancer. Micro peels and facials can help restore your skin’s health by exfoliating the surface layer of skin. This removes the superficial damage, such as sun spots, and helps encourage new cell turnover to improve your skin’s clarity and texture.

Contact Neaman MediSpa for the Top Anti-Aging Treatments

Just because you have to get older doesn’t mean you have to look like it. Wrinkles and signs of aging can be prevented and reversed with the right anti-aging treatments. Neaman MediSpa has a treatment to restore your skin’s health and give you a lasting glow. Contact us at (844) 338-5445 to schedule your skin care consultation.

Non-Invasive Skin Treatments for Face and Body

13 Feb 2018 Non-Invasive Skin Treatments for Face and Body

Your skin is your largest organ, and Neaman MediSpa and Neaman Plastic Surgery specialize in skin tightening procedures for both the face and body. From wrinkles to loose skin or pockets of fat, there are numerous factors that can cause the skin to be less tight than it used to be. Age, weight loss or gain, sun damage, and genetics all play a role. Since your skin is the first thing people notice about you (and often what you first notice about yourself!), keeping it looking healthy, taut, and toned can be a great boost to your confidence and self-esteem.

Exilis Elite: A Full Body Experience

During a consultation, your Neaman MediSpa team will discuss the state of your skin, your goals, and what procedures are the best fit for you. Body skin tightening is a popular and non-invasive procedure that tackles stubborn fat. When diet and exercise aren’t delivering the results you want, Exilis Elite might be the FDA-approved procedure for you. There’s no downtime and the skin is painlessly tightened and smoothed with radiofrequency and ultrasound waves.

The skin is heated up to the specifically required degree to melt away targeted fat while tightening the skin. In just thirty minutes, fat cells are broken up and will be flushed out of the body naturally via the lymphatic system. Various tip sizes are used to customize your results. Some patients liken the experience to a hot stone massage.

Complementary Facial Treatments

Skin tightening for the face can be approached in various ways, including injectables and fillers like Botox, Dysport, and other dermal fillers. Depending on the filler, patients may be able to enjoy fewer fine lines and wrinkles by temporarily freezing muscles and plumping up areas of the face that are hollow or saggy. Cheeks, the eye trough, and around the lips are all common areas where fillers can be a great help.

There are also MediSpa treatments for the entire face, such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and laser treatments. The earlier you start taking care of your skin, the faster and better the results will be. However, it’s never too late to pamper yourself and nourish your skin. From sun damage to stress and age, our skin is a tough organ that could use a little extra care. If you’re interested in learning more about body and face skin tightening in the Salem and surrounding areas, contact Neaman MediSpa at 844-338-5445 for a consultation and to learn more about available services.

Lose Those Wintertime Blues With Exilis, Infini, Botox, and Fillers

18 Jan 2018 Lose Those Wintertime Blues With Exilis, Infini, Botox, and Fillers

If you are like many women, you find that winter is a great time to take advantage of what Neaman MediSpa offers, such as Infini skin tightening, Exilis fat reduction, numerous chemical peel choices and the ever popular Botox and dermal fillers. People are usually busy during the summer, carting around kids, vacationing and generally taking advantage of summer activities. A lot of these activities are done in the sun, which makes it perhaps ill-advised to get some treatments accomplished when that summer heat will impact the results.

Chemical Peels And The Sun

Chemical Peels indeed need to be done when you have no plans to go anywhere near the sun. These chemical peels have a dramatic result and they can quickly improve the skin’s appearance. When one receives a chemical peel, a solution is applied to the skin, which makes it “blister” and ultimately peel off. Because of this peeling, the skin should not be subjected to the damaging rays of the sun. The skin is new, smoother and less wrinkled.

Infini And Exilis

Exilis is an FDA approved, non-invasive, radiofrequency device that tightens skin by stimulating collagen growth. Exilis is used as a fat reduction method as well as tightening skin – both of which help you lose inches in problem areas such as neck and jowls, arms, bra strap area, abdomen and the male chest, thighs, and knees.

Infini is a radiofrequency microneedling technique that targets deep acne scars. Infini is a major leap forward in the field of scar revision and is among the very best options because it can dive deep into the tissue and correct the problem from the inside out.

Why not use the wintertime to get ready for the activities that spring and summer will bring with treatments like Infini and Exilis?

Botox And Dermal Fillers

Many people are aware of the differences between Botox and dermal fillers. Botox is a neurotoxin used to freeze certain facial muscles in order to reduce wrinkles. On the other hand, dermal fillers are used to restore the skin’s natural collagen that plumps and smoothes targeted areas. Although no downtime is associated with either of the treatments, getting them accomplished during the dead of winter gives you a boost and helps you look your very best at all those Holiday parties and New Year’s celebrations.

At Neaman MediSpa, serving the Salem area, you can arrange for any and all of these incredible treatments just by calling (844) 338-5445. All of these procedures come with a complimentary consultation. You will be thrilled with the staff of highly trained nurse injectors and aestheticians at Neaman Medispa.

Wintertime Is The Best Time For MediSpa Treatments

19 Dec 2017 Wintertime Is The Best Time For MediSpa Treatments

Yes, wintertime is absolutely the optimum time for MediSpa treatments such as Botox, Dermal Fillers, Chemical Peels, Exilis fat reduction and Infini RF skin tightening and Neaman MediSpa, serving Salem and surrounding areas, has it all.

We all spend a lot of time in the sun during the summer months. Hopefully, by now, we are well aware of the damage the sun does to our skin. We do most activities out of doors during the summer, and if we have not done the necessary preparation before sun exposure, we are left with damaged and prematurely aging skin. And then winter arrives. And with winter comes dryness, lots of time spent indoors with heating systems drying out our already damaged skin.

So, with this time being spent indoors, why not consider some skin recovery and T.L.C. during the winter months? Neaman MediSpa has lots of options to not only help you regain a youthful glow and get rid of wrinkles, but also ridding yourself of some of that unwanted stubborn fat that doesn’t seem to want to go away.

Botox and Dermal Fillers

Now is the perfect time to regain your younger self that may have been compromised under the summer sun. Botox and carefully chosen dermal fillers can literally take years off your face.

Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels are wonderful skin care treatments that can be tailored to all skin types, conditions and concerns. After the summer sun has wreaked havoc on your skin, it is time to replenish it. If you are looking for a treatment before that big event, kick-start your skincare program or address the more severe skin damage, this is an excellent treatment for all skin types. At Neaman MediSpa the chemical peel that you receive will be tailored to you.

Exilis Spot Fat Reduction and Skin Tightening

Winter is the perfect time to rid yourself of the bumps and bulges that annoyed you over the summer months.

Exilis is a non-invasive, non-surgical skin tightening treatment that uses RF, or radiofrequency, waves to deep heat tissue below the surface of the skin. This heat shrinks the fat cells as well as stimulating new collagen production, leading to smoother, firmer skin. Exilis has no downtime associated with it, but what better time to have it than winter?

Infini RF Skin Tightening

Infini RF is a minimally invasive skin tightening treatment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scarring, and sagging skin. A handheld device with microneedles is pressed against the skin, sending radiofrequency energy to multiple layers below the surface. The combination of microneedling and RF energy stimulates the body’s natural collagen and healing processes, without the downtime of more invasive procedures.

Neaman MediSpa Treatments in Salem, Oregon

These are quite a few of the treatments you can opt for at Neaman MediSpa, serving the Salem area. Don’t look at wintertime as a low key, “not much is happening” time of year. Instead, look at it as a time when you can rejuvenate and invigorate. Contact Neaman MediSpa at (844) 338-5445. We will help you choose some amazing treatments.

Throwback to The 90’s – Acid Peels Are New Again

22 Nov 2017 Throwback to The 90’s – Acid Peels Are New Again
Posted at 05:00h in Micro Peels, Skin Care 0 Likes

You’ve heard the saying, “everything old is new again” – and it’s true of the revival of the chemical peel at Neaman MediSpa. Flashback to the 90’s when the chemical peel was the number-one cosmetic procedure in the country. Fast forward to 2017, and the chemical acid peel is forging ahead of many of the high-tech devices used in aesthetics today. More popular than dermal fillers and even Botox, an acid peel is a long-term fix for a more beautiful complexion.

Neaman MediSpa offers peels that can make your skin—and your skin-care products work better. In minutes, acids lift away dead cells and trigger a magical chain reaction. As that topmost layer of skin is shed, signals are sent to the living cells below to multiply and move up, to increase collagen production, to make more hyaluronic acid and to literally “act younger.”

Salicylic Acid Peels at the MediSpa

The right peel can end acne and soften the scars that come with it. Salicylic acid peels delve deep into the skin to unclog pores, while also skimming the surface to erode blackheads and fade post-pimple scars. An additional advantage of salicylic acid: It lingers in the pores, where it continues to keep them clear over time.

MediSpa Malic Acid Peels

Malic acid peels can also be used as treatments for common skin issues such as age spots, rosacea, acne and scarring. Since the acid stimulates the growth of collagen, it promotes younger and smoother skin to shine through. This automatically reduces your skin issues and gives your skin a healthier, younger and softer feel.

Malic acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) that is commonly found in a number of fruits and vegetables, particularly in apples.

A MediSpa Glycolic Acid Peel

Also known as AHA chemical peels or glycolic acid peels, this chemical peel is a light and non-invasive treatment that removes the upper layers of dead and damaged skin to encourage skin cell rejuvenation. This type of peel also provides gentle treatment for fine lines, acne, chronic dry skin, and uneven pigmentation. The formulation of the chemical solution used in a light chemical peel depends on the needs of the individual patient.

At Neaman MediSpa, serving Salem and surrounding areas, we offer choices. With a complimentary consultation, we can help you determine which acid peel is right for you. No matter your age or your skin’s’ condition, you can improve it with one of these amazing peels. Contact Neaman MediSpa at (844) 338-4445 to arrange your appointment.

What Is The Culprit? Aging Skin And The Enemy

19 Oct 2017 What Is The Culprit? Aging Skin And The Enemy

We hear lots of terminology when we talk about aging skin – Botox, fillers, peels, and age spots- it goes in and on. Don’t be fooled, because much of what we think of as natural aging is in fact due to sun exposure and other factors. That means aging skin can be avoided — and it’s never too late to start.

As we age, the fiber network of collagen and elastin weakens, and skin sags as it loses its support structure. Other unavoidable forces contribute to aging skin, as well. Skin becomes thinner with age and loses fat. The plump smoothness of our skin as children is replaced by a rougher texture. Gravity pulls on the weakened skin, creating the droop of jowls or “chicken fat” under the arms. Our genetic code contributes to the process – adding to skin that looks 50 at 80 in some people, and the unfortunate reverse in others.

Sun Damage Is Preventable

The skin changes associated with aging are avoidable. And most of them are due to one cause: sun damage.

The ultraviolet rays from the sun penetrate into the skin. They damage the elastic fibers that keep skin firm, allowing wrinkles to develop. The sun is also wholly responsible for age spots or “liver spots” on the hands, face, and other sun-exposed areas.

Stave off sun damage by following these bullet points:

  • Stop intentionally sunbathing. Any suntan means skin damage has occurred.
  • Always wear sunscreen. Choose a product with sun protection factor (SPF) 15 or greater. The hands and face are the most frequently exposed — cover them.
  • Wear a hat with a brim.
  • Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., when its rays are the strongest.

Unfortunately, we cannot go back to our 17-year-old selves and have a do-over. So, thank goodness, that for all the mistakes we made, there are a few helpful innovations obtainable through our plastic surgeons and dermatologists. With anti-aging products, Botox and fillers we can “work with” the damage that we inadvertently did to ourselves.
