NEAMAN PLASTIC SURGERY | SALEM, CORVALLIS, EUGENE, + PORTLAND, OREGON

Dissolve that Double Chin!

Kybella is an exciting new drug that helps to dissolve fat below the jawline to minimize the appearance of a double chin. Kybella is injected into your lower chin directly. It’s also an alternative to treatments such as Exilis Elite or CoolSculpting, as well as a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. Kybella helps you get a more sculpted and youthful contour to your chin and jawline in as little as two treatments.

With an estimated 80% of people very concerned if they have a “double chin”, Kybella is an amazing non-surgical alternative that can help restore your contour. Dr. Keith Neaman and the aesthetician team at Neaman MediSpa can work with you to determine if Kybella is right for your particular needs.

“I was and continue to be very satisfied with Dr. Neaman. My recovery is exactly what I planned. I do not rate medical professionals lightly being in the field myself, therefore myself giving him the highest rating is an enormous compliment. Thank you!”

How Kybella Works

Kybella is identical to something your body makes called deoxycholic acid, which helps to absorb, metabolize, and destroy fat. Patients receive approximately 12-20 injections in a single visit, the office visit taking about 15 minutes total. Injections are performed in a series of two to six treatments spaced about a month apart. Most patients enjoy noticeable results in two to three treatments.

The Kybella Procedure

During your visit at Neaman MediSpa for a Kybella treatment, a topical topical numbing solution is first applied to the neck and chin area. Approximately 12-20 precisely spaced injections are administered in about 15 minutes. Patients might experience mild swelling but most report little to no side effects which could be mild pain or discomfort.

Alternatives To Kybella

There are a few treatments and surgeries that can help your lower chin. Exilis Elite is a treatment offered here at Neaman MediSpa using radio frequency waves to heat up specific layers of the skin in order to melt away pockets of stubborn fat and tighten skin. CoolSculpting is a cooling technology that freezes fat cells – but we find better results with Exilis Elite vs CoolSculpting. Lastly, Liposuction is a surgical option for your lower chin and produces beautiful results.

Kybella FAQ’s

What is Kybella?

Kybella is an exciting new MediSpa treatment that is different than CoolSculpting, Exilis Elite, and Liposuction. Kybella is injected into the chin and dissolves fat below the chin line getting rid of that dreaded double chin. This treatment is new to the MediSpa world and is fast becoming the new big thing. In as little as two natural treatments you will have a more sculpted contour to your face.

How does Kybella work?

Through a quick series of tiny injections, Kybella will begin to tear down the outer walls of the targeted fat cells. This allows them to be safely absorbed and eliminated through the body’s natural processes. It is not immediate, but, over the next several months, a tight, smooth, youthful looking jawline will emerge.

How many Kybella Treatments are required?

This is not a “one and done” treatment. Most people require 2-3 treatments spaced between 6 to 8 weeks apart. Results will begin to show after 2 to 3 months, and improvement will continue for up to six months.

How can Kybella help my facial profile?

After Kybella, the under the chin will be significantly reduced, and the result will be a younger looking, sleeker and firmer neck area. Specifically, it will help eliminate a double chin, create a more defined jaw, and remove excess fat in the neck area.

Are Kybella treatments painful?

Before the series of Kybella injections in the central neck, below the chin, a topical numbing cream will be applied to reduce any discomfort. Kybella treatments are easily performed in the office, and although not pain-free, the procedure is relatively easy.

What are the side effects of Kybella?

You may experience a few temporary side effects, such as bruising and tenderness in the injection area. It is also possible to have some numbness and residual swelling for a few weeks after the treatment.
